At Rere Services, our name carries deep meaning. In te reo Māori, “Rere” means to fly, to flow, or to soar — symbolising movement, freedom, and growth. These values guide our purpose and the way we walk alongside people every day. We are a person-centred and person-directed disability support organisation based in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our focus is on empowering people to lead their own lives — making choices, pursuing goals, and participating fully in their communities.
At Rere Services, we believe that every person has the strength and potential to rise, flow, and soar. We’re here to provide the right support, at the right time, in the right way — working together with individuals, whānau, and communities to create pathways to independence, belonging, and wellbeing. Our practice is grounded in the values of manaakitanga (care and respect), whanaungatanga (connection and relationships), and tino rangatiratanga (self-determination). These principles shape the way we engage, listen, and respond — ensuring every person feels valued, heard, and supported to live the life they choose. At Rere Services, we don’t just provide support — we build partnerships, nurture potential, and celebrate every person’s journey. Together, we rise, flow, and soar.
At Rere Services, we envision an Aotearoa where disability is never a barrier to participation, inclusion, or belonging. We believe in a world that values diversity, celebrates individuality, and upholds the mana of every person.
To create a community where everyone has the freedom, confidence, and opportunity to live the life they choose - connected, respected, and empowered to rise, flow, and soar.
Together, these values guide our mahi (work) and reflect our commitment to supporting people to live with dignity, independence, and joy.
We show genuine care, kindness, and respect in everything we do. Every interaction is guided by compassion, trust, and dignity.
We build strong, meaningful relationships based on connection, understanding, and shared purpose. We walk alongside people, whānau, and communities as partners.
We support people to make their own choices, take control of their lives, and define their own paths. Every voice matters, and every decision starts with the person.
We believe in the strength of working together — bringing people, whānau, professionals, and communities into partnership for positive outcomes.
We act with integrity, accountability, and respect for both people and the environment — ensuring that our work today helps create a better tomorrow.
